M-1 Challenge XXI: Gugenishvili Submits Garner

Ukrainian heavyweight Guram Gugenishvili tapped out American Kenny Garner with a second round, guillotine choke, today in St. Petersburg, Russia, to become the M-1 Global Heavyweight Champion. The M-1 Challenge XXI card also saw Artiom Damkovsky stop Mairbek Taisumov to take home the promotion’s lightweight championship, and in a welterweight “superfight”, Che Mills worked his way to a unanimous decision win over the previously undefeated Magomed Shikshabekov.
