Tito Ortiz’s quest to end his three fight losing streak has been delayed, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that the former light-heavyweight champ has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming March 26th bout with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Ortiz (pictured) reportedly incurred a concussion and a cut requiring stitches after clashing heads accidently with a training partner, and will be unable to compete at the UFC Fight Night card as scheduled.

Stepping in as a replacement for Ortiz is the undefeated Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis (8-0). Since signing with the UFC the former NCAA Division 1 wrestling champ has gone 4-0. Most recently, at UFC 123 in November, Davis tapped out Tim Boetsch with a second round, kimura.

Nogueira (19-4) is coming off his first loss since 2007, as the BJJ black belt and Pride vet lost by unanimous decision to Ryan Bader at UFC 119 in September. Prior to that Nogueira scored wins over Luiz Arthur Cane and Jason Brilz, after arriving in the UFC in 2009.

The March 26th Fight Night card will be hosted by Seattle’s KeyArena and will be broadcast live on Spike.
