Bellator FC held the opening round of the promotion’s Season 4, welterweight tournament last night in Lemoore, California, with all but one of the quarter-finals bouts going to decision. Jay Hieron (pictured) was awarded a first round, technical submission win over Anthony Lapsley; however, the veteran never tapped out to Hieron’s rear-naked-choke and vehemently insisted afterwards that he had never lost consciousness.

In the other three fights, Lyman Good, Rick Hawn and Brent Weedman all advanced with unanimous decision victories.

Here are the official results from the welterweight tourney fights.

Brent Weedman def. Dan Hornbuckle by Unanimous Decision [29-28, 29-28, 29-28]
Rick Hawn def. Jim Wallhead by Unanimous Decision [29-28, 29-28, 30-27]
Jay Hieron def. Anthony Lapsely by Rear Naked Choke [3:39, Round 1]
Lyman Good defeats Chris Lozano by Unanimous Decision [30-27, 30-27, 29-28]
