The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to add fights to the promotion’s upcoming, August 14th event in Milwaukee Wisconsin, as today it has announced that featherweights Alex Caceres and Leonard Garcia have verbally agreed to fight on the card.
The UFC Live 5 card will be hosted by Milwaukee’s Bradley Center and will be broadcast live on Versus.
Caceres (4-3) is coming off a submission loss to Mackens Semerzier in March, after competing in the twelfth season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” In his last bout, prior to signing with the UFC, “Bruce Leroy” stopped Ketema Jahmal McLennan while competing under the G Force Fights banner.
Garcia (15-7-1) was tapped out by Chang Sung Jung at Fight Night 24 in March, after working his way to a controversial, split decision win over Nam Phan at the TUF 12 Finale in December.
UFC Live 5 will feature a lightweight bout between contenders Jim Miller and Ben Henderson in the main event.
Some of the other bouts that have been confirmed for the card include welterweight Dan Hardy vs. Chris Lytle, Eddie Wineland vs. bantamweight Joseph Benavidez, welterweight Duane Ludwig vs. Amir Sadollah, and Stephan Bonnar vs. light-heavyweight Karlos Vemola.
