Jens Pulver took another step forward this weekend in returning to mixed-martial-arts biggest stages, as the former UFC lightweight champ scored a split decision win over Wade Choate, at Chicago Cagefighting Championship’s event Saturday night. The victory was Pulver’s second in a row, after the 36 year-old veteran lost six straight from 2008 through 2010. Recently Pulver has been training under the guidance of Illinois fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Jeff Curran.
Since Pulver was awarded his 24th professional win, the popular fighter revealed on his official Twitter account, that he broke his foot in the opening round of his bout with Choate.

Pulver also released a photo of the injured foot, which according to the featherweight, occurred after he kicked Choate’s elbow.
In the meantime, Pulver is reportedly going on a tour to help promote the documentary film “Driven”, which is about the accomplished veteran’s MMA career and life. The film was directed by Gregory Bayne.
