Moscow, Russia was once again the host city for M-1 Global’s latest event yesterday, which saw both the promotion’s heavyweight champion Guram Gugenishvili and welterweight champ Shamil Zavurov defend their belts. Gugenishvili caught submitted Maxim Grishin with a first round, rear-naked-choke to win submission of the night honors, while Zavurov (pictured) earned the KO of the night award for his second round, stoppage of Tom Gallicchio.
The promotion’s next event is scheduled for March 25th, in Norfolk, Virgina, which will feature lightweight champion Artiom Damkovsky taking on challenger Jose Figueroa.
