Titan Fighting Championships has announced that it has bolstered the line-up for its upcoming May 27th event with 2 UFC vets, as both Jens Pulver (pictured) and Drew McFedries will compete on the card. Titan FC 18 will be hosted by the Memorial Hall in Kansas City and it will be broadcast live on HDNet.
“Our first two events on HDNet were met with both praise from critics and fans alike. Titan Fighting 18 will be a continuation of our formula for Titan Fighting 16 and 17 with a mix of nationally recognized names and rising prospects,” said Titan Fighting CEO Joe Kelly in the official announcement. “Pulver and McFedries will not be the only national headliners on this show as we are completing negotiations for two other high profile fights. In short, Titan Fighting 18 will be our deepest show in history.”
Pulver (24-14-1) will look to extend his winning streak to three against featherweight Mike Powell (10-2). The former UFC lightweight champ is coming off back-to-back wins over Mike Lindquist and Wade Choate, after Pulver dropping six straight.
Powell has won three straight and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jovon Myles last August.
McFedries (9-6) will meet former Strikeforce middleweight Daryl Cobb (6-2). McFedries last competed in January at Titan FC 16 and stopped Gary Tapusoa in the third round. The punishing striker is 2-3 in his last five bouts.
Cobb is coming off a submission loss to Rodney Collier in April, after winning five straight, a run which included a split decision win over the aforementioned Tapusoa.
More bouts for the upcoming May 27th Titan FC will be announced shortly.
