Kendall Grove and Tim Boestch will look to get back on the winning track by scoring a win over the other, as a bout between the two has been added to the upcoming, May 28th, UFC 130 card. The event, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will be headlined by the third fight between lightweight champ Frankie Edgar and challenger Gray Maynard.
Grove (12-8) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Demian Maia, at the TUF 12 Finale in December, after earning the split decision nod over Goran Reljic at UFC 116 last July. The Hawaiian middleweight is 2-3 in his last five bouts, with an additional win coming over Jake Rosholt, and losses stemming from bouts with Mark Munoz and Ricardo Almeida.
Boetsch (12-4) (pictured) will make his debut at 185lbs., after he was submitted by rising light-heavyweight Phil Davis, at UFC 123 last November. The defeat ended a four fight winning streak for Boetsch, which included a unanimous decision win over Todd Brown at UFC 117 last August.
Some of the other bouts that are scheduled for UFC 130 include “Rampage” Jackson vs. Matt Hamill, Roy Nelson vs. Frank Mir, Rick Story vs. Thiago Alves and Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago.
UFC 130 will be available by pay-per-view.
